Dr. Richard GovierOperations Manager
Richard Govier pursued a career in engineering after reading and gaining a first class honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. After a spell at Ferranti Computer Systems, as a Test and Commissioning Engineer, he returned to Cardiff University to investigate microprocessor control of computers, before receiving his PhD. Richard as one of the founding directors of Technology Concepts Ltd, took responsibility for hardware product design and production,
and in 2004 left Technology Concepts Ltd, to form Corbetech Ltd, providing hardware design and production consultancy services. In 2006, Richard was appointed as Operations Manager of Cardiff High Tech Ltd, responsible for the product development and production teams and in September 2007, accepted the position of Operations Manager of Unite Technologies, responsible for R&D and Production.

Alexandra TerryCommercial Manager
Alexandra Terry entered the electrical engineering industry after gaining a BSc (Hons) degree in European Business, German and Digital Telecommunications at the University of Hull. She gained a formal electrical engineering training with ABB in the Power Transmission and Distribution division before being relocated to ABB’s Low Voltage Switchgear Division in Mannheim, Germany. Alex gained a post-grad diploma in Strategic Marketing, International Business and Strategic Planning and Controlling at the Technische Fachhochschule in Germany, before returning to the UK where she was appointed as Business Information Manager of King UK Ltd in
2001, reporting to the Board and responsible for ensuring delivery of margin improvement across the distribution division. In January 2004, she joined AVEVA Solutions Ltd as Group Business Systems Manager, heading up all Business Systems across group operations, globally. In March 2007, Alex was appointed as Commercial Manager of Comrac Ltd, and continues, post the formation of Unite Technologies, to take responsibility for all Marketing, Internal Sales, Customer Services, Internal Business Systems and Warehousing activities, in addition to the Project Management of major accounts.

Jim RodgersTechnical Support Manager
Jim Rodgers joined Sinetica Corporation in 2006 as Technical Support Manager, responsible for the testing of internal products and providing post sales technical support after entering the Information Technology industry, having read Mathematics at Dundee University. Between 1988 and 1997, Jim held a number of C programmer and database developer positions with Intelligent Applications Ltd and Coopers and Lybrand (PWC) respectively, coding for artificial intelligence and expert systems. Moving into management,
Jim was appointed to the position of IT and Software Manager of Marketing Databasics Ltd in 1997 taking responsibility for the IT support teams, which looked after call centre and marketing data analysis applications. In 2001, Jim moved to Catalyst Ltd to take on the role of IT and Operations Manager collating data for the petrol industry. Following the merger of Comrac and Sinetica, Jim continues to act as Technical Support Manager for Unite Technologies, providing post sales technical support and testing of the Unite product portfolio.

Beverley Gaen
Beverley Gaen joined Unite Technologies Ltd in November 2007 heading up the Quality department, specialising in auditing, corporate governance, ISO 9001 and 14001 procedures, product development workflow models and compliance management, to ensure visibility and control of processes in helping reduce operational risk. Prior to this, between 1993 and 2007, Beverley held various positions within Genesys Test Engineering Ltd, gaining valuable experience in project lifecycle management processes and procedures and in 2000 was appointed as Head of Project Management.
Once again within Genesys, Beverley was appointed to the position of Compliance Manager in 2003, assisting multinational companies in the design and development of telecom products and responsible for obtaining approval and certification of these products worldwide. Before joining Genesys, she qualified with a graduate diploma for business in French, German and Italian and between 1991 and 1993 joined Europart Distribution Ltd as part of a multi lingual group operating across six European countries, assisting in the buying, selling, marketing and packaging of all group products.
