Both physical and network security are major key concerns for a Data Centre environment, as increasing quantities of hardware are deployed into cabinets, considerably increasing the risk of downtime. Controlling and restricting access to the cabinet is therefore of paramount importance, as is providing audit trails of access granted. Network Security Unites’ integrated technology solutions enable authenticated users to connect to a single network IP address, with centralised authentication, ensuring a common denominator of security. Centrally logged, permission based networked integration capabilities are merged with Infrastructure Management solutions such as ITRACS and RIT. One of the benefits of installing such a solution with our integrated technologies is the clients’ ability to produce highly sophisticated detailed management information reports utilising industry standard protocols and database platforms, which enable clients to perform Data Centre Capacity Planning, Trend Analysis and Risk Management for mission critical services. Devices can be accessed via a single menu and the central audit trail provided. Synergy with our integrated solutions for Network Managed Devices, Remote Switching Facilities and Network Management Software is found in Remote Console Management Technology and sophisticated security systems, which are often deployed to integrate IP camera technology with card reader systems and intelligent access control. By using secure gateways, we are able to provide In-Band management access and Out-Of-Band management solutions. Physical Security One of our key integration attributes is designed to monitor and manage environmental factors such as Security alongside Power, Humidity, Temperature, and Access Control. Our capability enhances physical security, as we demonstrate increased response times, minimised downtime, in addition to providing centralised Data Centre Hardware Management and ‘Lights Out’ processes. Our other integrated Data Centre Cabinet Security solutions range from the integration with our clients existing security systems and technologies such as bespoke swipe card and biometric hardware providing local and remote access and control; early warning alarming and alerting of door status with the use of various shock and vibration sensors; automation activation of fan trays protecting servers following a rise in local temperatures and beacons and alarms to networked CCTV cameras, enabling the creation of video records according to specific events, including motion detection within an aisle. |
